These levels are also fun to explore, and scattered throughout are hidden items and birds that give you missions. Your owner’s room, for example, using pizza boxes as ramps and grinding on office supplies. Instead of the classic skateparks or cities of other games, in this, you play on tiny bird-sized parks. The levels of skateBIRD are also really charming and carry the game almost as much as all the bird themes. You can also unlock additional customization items by finding them hidden throughout the skatepark levels. Besides the birds themselves, you can also make them wear cute little outfits and accessories. You can play as a pigeon, an owl, budgie, finch, raven, sparrow, and a lot more. The birds aren’t just simple recolors either, they have different models. They are also available to immediately pick from, so you don’t have to wait to unlock the type of bird you want to play. Picking and making your character right away is fun, and it’s awesome how many species they have to play as. You play as a skateboarding bird, and one of my favorite things about the game is just how much they enjoy running with the concept. It also feels great to accomplish so have a go! The 50 50 is a great entry-level grind to learn and show off at the park. So you have learned lots of flatland tricks, now let’s add some rail skill. Before attempting this trick, it's super important to make sure you're comfortable riding and balancing on your board. Make those earlier tricks looks like 1 fantastic combo with the Manual. The manual is a great skill to learn as it helps tie your combos together. To land this trick successfully you'll have to focus on the positioning of your feet and your speed. The Casper Flip looks fantastic, and not many people have heard of it. Your foot positioning at the start of the trick is very important this is what allows the board to rotate in the air. Much like the Kickflip, Heelflips have been a staple in the skateboarding community for some time. Powersliding looks fantastic and it’s a great way to scrub some speed before attempting a big trick! The key to powersliding is building up speed beforehand, so make sure you're comfortable riding your board around first. Kickflip styles can be different depending on who's doing them but the basic movements are common in all of them. Not only does it look cool, but once you learn to Kickflip it'll make other tricks a bit easier to master. The Kickflip has always been a popular trick. Your foot positioning is very much the same as it would be for an Ollie, but the most important movement again will be in your shoulders. Now let's get the Backside 180 under your belt. You'll start with your feet in a similar position to how you would start an Ollie, but the movement you need for the 180 turn will come from your shoulders. ![]() Before learning this trick, it's best to get confident in the ones above. Let's up those skills to the Frontside 180. So you have learned to Ollie, Shuvit and Pop Shuvit. The best way to master this trick, is to learn how to Shuvit first with no pop, then add the pop. The general belief is that they’re easy to do and they look great to perform when you are cruising along. The Shuvit and the Pop Shuvit have been popular tricks for many years. Learning this trick will put you in a good position for transitions and many other tricks. This trick is similar to the Ollie but instead of popping the tail, you pop the nose. Next we have the Nollie, also known as a Nose Ollie. In our opinion, it should be the first one you learn as many other tricks will lead on from this. This is one of the fundamental skateboarding tricks. Get started now and take them step by step.
